Phoning it in

Participated in the first rehearsal for my stage adaptation of Lovecraft’s short story, “From Beyond.” The cool thing about it? I’m in Pennsylvania and the Mill Race Theatrical Company is in South Jersey.

Even though it’s almost a 3-hour drive, I was able to pop into rehearsal via Skype, hang out a while, listen in, make some notes, and be ready to tinker with the script some more, to hammer out some rough spots and put a nice polish on it.

Technology, when it works, is a wonderful thing.

I’m incredibly excited to see how Mill Race, an immersive theatrical company, and their tech wizards are going to immerse the audience in Lovecraft’s eldritch horror. If you’re curious too, you can stay on top of the production and even order tickets in advance on their web site.
